Still Waters Bible Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Rair Solutions LLC ("Rair Solutions," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you use Still Waters Bible and related services (the "App").

This policy is meant to describe our actual product practices as they exist today. If we materially change those practices, we will update this policy and, when appropriate, ask you to review the updated version.

2. Who Controls Your Information

Rair Solutions LLC is the controller of personal information described in this policy.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Account and Profile Information

• Email address and basic profile details received from your authentication provider, such as your name and profile image, if provided.
• Account settings you choose to save, such as your display name, denomination preference, and theme preference.
• Records showing when you accepted our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

3.2 Study and Chat Information

• Saved chat sessions and messages associated with signed-in chat use that you choose to keep in the App.
• Bible study data such as bookmarks, notes, highlights, and translation preference, whether stored locally in guest mode or synced for signed-in users.
• Support requests or other messages you send to us.

3.3 Automatically Collected Information

• Event-level analytics associated with signed-in feature use, such as sign-in completion, chat start, Bible open, legal acceptance completion, and account deletion requests.
• Technical metadata associated with those events, which may include page path, timestamps, IP address, user agent, and related event properties.
• Authentication and security metadata made available by our infrastructure and identity providers.

3.4 Information We Do Not Intend to Collect

We do not intentionally collect payment card numbers because paid subscriptions are not currently live in the App.

We do not use the App for targeted advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

4. How Information Moves Through the App

Still Waters Bible supports both guest use and signed-in use, and data handling differs depending on how you use it.

4.1 Guest Mode

If you use the App without signing in, your saved study data is generally stored in your browser's local storage on that device.

Guest mode is intended for Bible reading, verse lookup, and local study tools on that device. Still Waters Assistant is not available unless you sign in.

Browsing or using guest features does not require account creation. If you later sign in, we may require you to review and explicitly accept the current Terms of Service and Privacy Policy before account features continue.

4.2 Signed-In Mode

If you sign in, certain account and study data may be synchronized to our Supabase backend so it can persist across sessions and devices, and signed-in access is currently required to use Still Waters Assistant features.

We also maintain server-side records related to legal acceptance, security, abuse prevention, and certain signed-in product events.

4.3 Still Waters Assistant Requests

When a signed-in user sends a prompt to Still Waters Assistant, the message is transmitted through our server-side chat endpoint and then to our AI provider, Groq, to generate a response.

Please do not submit highly sensitive personal, financial, health, or other confidential information in chat prompts.

4.4 Verse Lookup Requests

When you request Bible passages or verse search results, the relevant query is sent to our scripture lookup endpoint and may then be relayed to bible-api.com to retrieve the requested passage.

5. How We Use Information

• Provide, operate, maintain, and secure the App.
• Authenticate users and manage accounts.
• Save and sync study data across devices for signed-in users.
• Generate Still Waters Assistant responses and verse lookups you request.
• Monitor reliability, usage, abuse, and product performance.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
• Review, preserve, remove, or disclose information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal process, or rights protection.
• Respond to support, privacy, and account deletion requests.

6. Legal Bases for Processing

If data protection laws such as the GDPR apply to your use of the App, our legal bases typically include:

• Performance of a contract, to provide the App and requested features.
• Legitimate interests, such as security, product maintenance, analytics, and abuse prevention.
• Legal obligations, when we must keep or disclose information to comply with law.
• Consent, where we specifically ask for it.

7. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We may disclose information to the following categories of recipients:

• Supabase and related hosting infrastructure for authentication and synced account data.
• Google, if you choose Google sign-in.
• Groq, to generate Still Waters Assistant responses.
• bible-api.com, to retrieve Bible passages and verse lookup results.
• Professional advisers, law enforcement, regulators, or counterparties in a corporate transaction when legally required or reasonably necessary.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

• Guest-mode study data stored in your browser remains there until you delete it, clear browser storage, or your browser removes it.
• Signed-in account and study data is retained until you delete it, request account deletion, or we no longer need it for the purposes described in this policy.
• Analytics, legal acceptance, and account deletion request records may be retained for auditing, security, abuse prevention, and legal compliance.
• Account deletion requests are reviewed and processed through a human-managed workflow and may require identity verification before fulfillment.
• Deleting content or requesting account deletion does not necessarily remove information immediately from backups, logs, cached systems, or records retained for dispute resolution, fraud prevention, or legal compliance.
• Third-party providers may retain data according to their own policies and legal obligations.

Deletion from backups and third-party systems may not be immediate, and some records may be retained longer where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.

9. Your Choices and Rights

• Update certain account information in the App.
• Delete guest-mode data by clearing your browser storage on the device where it is stored.
• Request deletion of your signed-in account through the App or by emailing us.
• Request access, correction, or deletion where applicable law gives you those rights.

Signed-in users may request account deletion from the profile area of the App. Guest-mode data stored only in your browser will not be removed from your device unless you clear it there.

Submitting an account deletion request starts a review workflow; it does not guarantee immediate or automatic deletion at the moment of request.

To submit a privacy request, email privacy@rairsolutions.com. We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before acting on a request.

We may decline or limit a request where the law permits, including where we need to retain information for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or to protect the rights of users, third parties, or Rair Solutions.

10. Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies

The App uses browser storage, including local storage, to remember guest-mode Bible study data, legal notices, interface preferences, and similar settings on your device.

Our authentication and infrastructure providers may also use cookies or similar technologies required for sign-in, security, or service delivery.

We do not currently use advertising cookies in the App.

11. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact privacy@rairsolutions.com so we can investigate and, if appropriate, delete it.

12. International Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

13. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information.

Those measures include access controls, authenticated access to synced user data, encrypted transmission over HTTPS, and database security controls made available through our infrastructure providers.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, and their handling of information is governed by their own terms and policies.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make a material change, we may notify you in the App, by email, or by requiring you to review an updated version before continuing to use certain account features.
